Kids ASL
Looking for a sign language teacher for your school aged child and his/her friends? Our qualified staff will teach your children, ages 5 - 18, in the comfort of your own home or school. Private tutoring also available.
American Sign Language is the 3rd most used language in the United States! Signing builds vocabulary, enhances language skills, develops reading readiness and improves spelling skills. Creative Sign Classes (ASL) brought to you by Baby Fingers LLC (www.mybabyfingers.com) offer an opportunity for students to learn sign language through games, stories, dramatic play and more. Signing is a wonderful learning technique that provides a way for children to use a wide variety of multiple intelligences. It also sets the foundation for additional foreign language learning, provides kids with a “secret” language, and prepares children for interacting with Deaf peers. Recommended text: Sign Language for Kids: A Fun and Easy Guide to American Sign Language, by Lora Heller (Sterling Publishing, 2004).
Adult ASL
Our weekend and evening adult sign language program is taught by a Deaf teacher of ASL. Classes are designed for teens (15 yrs or older) and adults interested in beginning their study of sign language, or refining their skills. Private tutoring also available.
NOTE: Our schedules are subject to change. Contact us for class fees and to set up a class visit. If space allows, you can visit a class and join us part way through a session for a pro-rated tuition.
Refund/make-up policy
There is a $35 fee for returned checks. TWO make-up classes can be scheduled with the instructor each session lasting more than 6 weeks; ONE make up class is allowed for shorter sessions. The $25 reg. fee is non-refundable, but waived if you refer a friend who joins us. A 50% refund of tuition may be granted after the first week of class; no refunds thereafter.
